VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR/ MANAGER

A volunteer coordinator/manager oversees volunteering for their zoo or aquarium, from recruiting new volunteers/interns and promoting opportunities to supporting long-term volunteer/intern engagement. They are a bridge between the community and the organization, and further the mission of the organization through community and conservation volunteer events. Volunteer coordinators/managers often provide the first point of contact for many people in connecting to their zoo and aquarium and manage programs that build gateways for community members to become directly involved in conservation efforts.
