DIRECTOR/ CEO/ PRESIDENT

This title varies from zoo to zoo, but every zoo has a #1. This is the person in charge of the whole operation. Sometimes these folks have a background in animal work – maybe they were a Keeper or a Veterinarian who worked their way up. Or sometimes they have a business background and have knowledge of how to run a company. Either way – this position is usually filled by someone who has the knowledge base to make decisions that will keep the entire organization moving forward to fulfill its mission.
