REGISTRAR

The registrar is the person who ensures that all legal and ethical obligations (federal and state) are met in regard to holding and moving exotic animals from facility to facility. This includes obtaining permits and licenses for moving animals across state lines and even internationally. The registrar is the person who keeps the rest of the zoo employees out of jail! Registrars are also the record keepers in the zoo, and they make sure that documentation and historical information exists for every individual animal housed at the zoo.
