JOIN AMZAP
AMZAP is always interested in expanding our network. We have two membership categories- Professional Members and Affiliate Members. Review the requirements and apply for the membership that best fits you below.
PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP
Current zoo professionals can become a member of AMZAP if they meet the following requirements.
Interested applicants must be a full-time employee of an accredited zoo, aquarium or exotic animal facility. Temporary full-time employees (e.g., seasonal or temporary keepers, veterinary residents, post-doctoral fellows, etc.) are included in this criterion.
AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP
Our affiliate members generally have an interest in careers within the zoo field. That may mean that they are: students / current or former interns or volunteers / former zoo or aquarium professionals looking to get back into the field / currently employed at an unaccredited zoo, aquarium, or exotic animal facility / or anyone who thinks they might like to join the field in the future. If you believe this category fits you, please apply below using the Affiliate member application. Affiliate members can also join our mentorship program and be matched with a mentor.
PASSIONATE
Anyone applying for an AMZAP membership must be passionate about working in the zoo and aquarium field and increasing minority representation within the zoo and aquarium field.
After applying to become either a professional member or affiliate member, a current AMZAP member will review your application and may designate a different membership status for you. Contact AMZAP if you have any questions.
