PHOTOGRAPHER/ VIDEOGRAPHER

Many zoos have a staff photographer. This person provides professional quality photographs of animals as well as the staff. These photos are used on social media, brochures, promotional advertising, exhibits throughout the zoo and for print media stories. A skilled photographer will capture unique stories at the zoo, whether that is a baby animal, an interesting veterinary procedure or conservation efforts. The photographer works with every department at a zoo, works behind-the-scenes and up-close with animals, and in some instances travels the world following the zoo’s conservation efforts.
